A design symbolizing youth empowerment in all its diversity.

The “Girls Shape the Future” socks tell the inspiring story of the young women's community of the Hil-Foundation Girls' Advisory Council in Austria. Created together with the girls, these socks reveal the importance of participation of all young women* in society through the symbols drawn by them. This is a message they want to pass on to other girls*. The result is seven symbols that stand for empowerment, beauty, diversity, and the power to change. They are meant to motivate to help shape the world:

Fire: inspiration, commitment, community
Peace wheel: harmonious life
Heart flowers: happiness, love, cohesion
Circle of stars: connections, community
Wave of infinity: energy and power
Fruits: Nurturing, growth, future
Rainbow: tolerance, warmth, love
